A few weeks ago, one of my friends
recommended that I read the book "The Goal" by Eliyahu Goldratt. At
first, I was hesitant to read another management book, but I must admit that
the book immediately captured my interest. What a great way a physicist has defined
science. He provided an explanation of the fundamentals of management using a
manufacturing setup, as well as how to find answers to any problems. The
fundamental guideline is to use common sense by performing these 3 easy steps:
a) What
to change?
b) What
to change to?
c) How
to cause the change?
The finest aspect of this book is that
it covered the fundamentals of life, management, and business. We are all aware
of it. Although we are all aware of it, we nonetheless frequently ignore it.
Second, everyone who accepts the correct hypothesis and believes in continual
progress has the potential to be a subject matter expert. Finally, if you
follow the goal/bigger picture, it will be easier to chase it.
"A Process of Ongoing
Improvement" is the key to every company' success.
Everyone should read this book, in my
opinion.
